Description
Sequence Writing Prompts – FREE
My students are so successful at writing using these story sequence writing prompts! For this activity, writers use the 4 sequence picture cards to order events, then they can use the transition words and specific story vocabulary words to tell their story. Included with the color pictures writing printable is a “Good Writers” editing checklist reminder at the bottom of the paper. These prompts naturally differentiate your writing center. Even my most emergent, timid writers shine using them!

These story sequence writing prompts are just amazing and very helpful to use in class. We first made our own pizza and then use these cards to sequence our story before we did our writing. Thank you so much for sharing!! Luv it!!

Thank you Mrs. Winter’s these sequence writing prompts are perfect. The pictures show highly interesting events to keep my students engaged and want to write. This is perfect for all types of learners, and is so friendly to use for small group or entire class lessons.

Awesome resource! The students were able to make the connection to temporal words in writing. Students were also able to create vocabulary words to guide their writing process and the pictures added the “finishing touch” to their understanding of providing order in a series of events . Sequencing is an important skill for both reading, writing and comprehension.

Thank you for sharing Mrs. Winters! I teach high school autistic support with a variety of skill levels. These are a great resource to use as both an independent task for some of my learners and as a whole group lesson for others.
