New Year’s Activities for Elementary Students

Free New Year activities ideal for elementary students! Included in this post are New Year’s videos, crafts, and games, as well as New Year goal setting activities.

It’s hard to believe we are approaching the start of another NEW YEAR! While September usually feels like the “New Year” for teachers, January is a great time to check-in, reflect and set new goals and resolutions.

And while we may ring in the New Year when school is out of session, I have found celebrating it with my students in January is a really nice way to welcome back students after the holiday break!

In hopes of taking a little off your plate this holiday season, I’ve shared a series of holiday round-up posts of engaging videos, games, crafts and activities you and your students can use to celebrate the holidays.

My earlier round-up posts focused on Thanksgiving and December activities. I hope you found them helpful! I’d love to hear which activities were most successful in your classroom!

In my final round-up for this series I’m sharing all things New Years!  Let’s take a look at what I’ve found….

Happy New Year This sweet and short video will help kids start thinking about all they accomplished and learned in the past year!  It could be a great video to watch before doing a goal-setting activity
