100th day of school ideas perfect for kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students. Kids will love the fun activities and the learning will feel like a party! Make sure to download the FREE 100th day activity in the post!
Hello Friend!
The 100th day of school is soon approaching and I can’t wait! There is so many wonderful things about the 100th day…For one, there is nothing more adorable than seeing little kids dressed up like 100 year old men and women! It also means we are more than half-way through the school year- yippee!! But most importantly, it is a day filled with so many unique learning activities that promote fun, memorable learning for our students.
[spacer height=”20px”]To help ensure the 100th day is something you can look forward to and enjoy (instead of stress over and worry about planning) I’m happy to share with you my 100th Day of School Celebration Centers and a FREEBIE.
Since creating these resources a few years ago, my 100th Day celebrations have been fun and easy for me.
I LOVE to invite parents to get involved in our learning and this day is a perfect opportunity to do so. About 2 weeks before the big day I send home a letter asking for volunteers and donations.
I realize your students may not have the space to move around and complete the “100 Ways to Exercise” center, so this year I created one more activity called “100 Rhyming Words”. It could be used in place of or in addition to one of the other activities, or as a word work center later in the week. I made two versions to share with you. One version has a word and a picture of the word. The other just has a picture, so more advanced students have to use their critical thinking skills to figure out a word family the picture represents.[spacer height=”20px”]
I made a color and black and white version of each page. Depending how you plan to use it you could copy the black and white version back to back so students could take the printable home, or place a few of the color version in a plastic sleeve to be reused by students in a center. A direction card is also included in the download. 🙂
This FREE resource now includes a digital version!!

Finally, I have one last idea to share! Have you heard of the free Aging Booth app? Inside the app you can take a photo of your students (and your teacher friends!) and it will transform their image to what they will look like decades later!
These photos would make an engaging writing prompt. Students could write “When I am 100 years old, I will…” Or maybe they could use the photos to compare and contrast details about themselves, so much fun!
The 100th Day of School is a day filled with so many wonderful opportunities. It’s a chance for families to visit the classroom and get involved in their children’s learning, for students to engage in creative activities that feel unique, and for you to enjoy a fun and relaxed day of learning with your students!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you see 100’s of smiles on your 100th day!
PIN IDEAS for LATER
Looks like so much fun, I do love third but I have to say I miss the 1ooth day in first. hugs, Vicky
The writing process posters are so cute. Thank you for sharing them.
I just purchased the 100th day packet from TPT and was hoping to use the rhyming, but I noticed there are no word cards for the rhyming. Was this included or am I overlooking?
Hi Charlotte, Thanks for your purchase. I am not sure what you mean by word card, there are no cards included, student printables (they could be cut into cards?) Depending how you plan to use the rhyming activity you could copy the black and white version back to back so students could take the printable home, or place a few of the color version in a plastic sleeve to be reused by students in a center. One version has the picture only, while the other has the word also to best meet the needs of your students! Included in the download there is also a direction card.
Hope this is helpful to you!
